EfM (Education for Ministry)
Facilitated by Bill and Bess Steverson, the Education for Ministry (EfM) program provides people with the education to carry out ministry. During the Service of Confirmation, we ask God to "Renew in these your servants the covenant you made with them at Baptism. Send them forth in the power of the Spirit to perform the service you set before them. EfM offers an opportunity to discover how to respond to the call to Christian service. Contact Bill or Bess for more info.
Facilitated by Paul & Judith Miller, Cursillo focuses on showing Christian lay people how to become effective Christian leaders over the course of a three-day weekend. The weekend includes fifteen talks called "rollos given by both priests and lay people. Participants are asked to take what they have learned back into the world, on what is known as the "fourth day. The method stresses personal spiritual development, as accelerated by weekly group reunion (after the weekend).
