Young Disciples Program:
This program has a variety of offerings during the year for children who are potty-trained through rising 5th graders. The Sunday School classes meet downstairs in the children’s area every Sunday from 9:30 to 10:20 a.m. The Worship classes meet in separate locations during the 10:30 service.
Sunday School (Potty-trained–2nd Grade): Children are invited to wonder about stories from the Bible and beyond while exploring faith using story props, music, arts, crafts, acting, snacks, and games.
Sunday School (3rd–5th Grade): The upper elementary children gather together for formation and fellowship activities that seek to connect faith, church, service, and daily life.
Wiggle Worship (Potty-trained–Kindergarten):
This program is for younger kids who need more movement in their worship style. Children can be dropped off prior to the start of the 10:30 service (no earlier than 10:25) downstairs in Room 14. They return to the main service with Children’s Chapel during the Peace.
Children's Chapel (Rising 1st–5th Grade):
This program is also offered during the 10:30 service for young children who wish to attend a worship service that is geared more for their age. The children leave during the Hymn of Praise then return with Wiggle Worship during the Peace. This group meets in the Chapel and has the option to participate in a coin offering that is annually donated to a charity of the kids’ choosing.
Vacation Bible School (VBS):
VBS is a week-long summer program for the whole community that includes daily activities, such as interactive stories, youth-led skits, outdoor games, music, arts and crafts, science experiments, nature exploration, and creative snack activities. This program runs daily from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Children who are Pre-Kindergartner/4s class age through rising 3rd graders are invited as campers. Each year, there are also counselor opportunities for children in rising 4th – 12th grades.
ChattEY Jr./ Club 45:
Club 45 is a special program offered only to rising 4th and 5th graders! This monthly club meets the second Sunday of each month (4:45-6:00) beginning in September. Meetings rotate between parties, recreational get-togethers (bowling, hiking, scavenger hunts), and community-based service projects. This club also occasionally joins with EYC and ChattEY to encourage friendships and mentorships between the youth at St. Timothy’s and the surrounding Episcopal communities.
